Pit Bulls and the Idiots that Own Them
The Big Bust of last week shows that the pit nutters are alive and well and into dog fighting.
So everyone thought that the sweet nurse down the street with the pits was a "responsible" pit owner. Or how about the dedicated school teacher working with the disabled? He was probably looking at his students as bait for his fighting dogs. Need to check the rolls and make sure they are all there. Just middle class, responsible jobs, but FUCKING DOG FIGHTERS IS WHAT THEY ARE.
Scum, nothing but scum. This time it ain't the low life of the neighborhood disproving what the pit nutters try to make us believe.
It's time to put these pit nutters in their place, they are failing to police themselves, so now we do it. They belong in jail in my book with a big red target on their asses.
Trust no pit owner at this point, they are all trash. I no longer believe that even the most experienced person should be allowed to own these dangerous dogs. They need to be eliminated from the face of the earth, all those breeds that are bred for aggressiveness need to go.

Bemis to Jail, Scotty!
Cindy Bemis was sentenced to one year in jail for her hoarding charges in Kern County. She still awaits trial in San Bernardino.
Thus puts on hold another hoarder because I believe she will do it again as soon as she gets out. There is also a 5 year probation afterwards.
Will keep you posted on the case for San Bernardino.

Food for Thought
I went to my favorite website today and this hit me right in the face.
DogsBite.org - Many policymakers and the public do not tolerate wild animals as pets. In the days following the vicious chimpanzee attack on Charla Nash, many groups called for a federal ban on exotic pets. It was reported then that in the past 10 years, chimps had attacked 29 children. Yet in just a recent 3-year period, pit bulls killed 48 children. The number of children that suffered severe injury by pit bulls in this same time can be assumed as exponential.
It is time for policymakers and the public to stop tolerating pit bull attacks. We must create laws designed to prevent these attacks.
Just recently, a 12-foot pet python broke out of an aquarium and strangled a 2-year-old girl in her Florida home. The Humane Society of the United States reported that pet pythons have killed at least 5 children since 1980. Due to the dangerous nature of these snakes many municipalities outright ban them. The question is: Why don't more policymakers regulate pit bulls, a single dog breed with a documented 30-year record of horrific maulings and killings?

Charlotte Spadaro Has Left the Building
Charlotte Spadaro, the former Mayor of Beverly Hills and infamous hoarder, is missing. For those of us who awaited her arrival at Superior Court yesterday, she was a no show, she didn't sneak in. UPDATE: She did sneak in and was in court. Her attorney was not. Probably another tactic to delay, fire the attorney. She has fired several.
She's been offered a plea bargain but it was turned down. And now her "kennel" and "vet" clinic are closed and no one seems to know where she is. I understand that 80 or so dogs were left at a boarding facility and she hasn't paid for them.
Spadaro picks up strays and never looks for an owner even if it has a tag. I use the same groomer as she does and I have seen the condition of these dogs. She has brought some in with mange over and over again with my groomer telling her to take the dogs to the vet. My groomer called me one day and I went over to see the amount of hair off one dog that she had not brought in for a year. We saved it and gave it to the cruelty investigative officer.
So this post is to alert everyone to be on the lookout for Spadaro. She is in the same vein as Cindy Bemis, Kim Peck, and Cynthia Gudger, aka Anita Gilbert aka Barbara Ryan. Bemis and Gudger are in jail already, actually Gudger is in a mental institution. Kim Peck has moved but already having problems. Peck has moved onto the old grounds of Gudger.

Happy 4th to All
I hate the 4th of July. I boycott fireworks by not buying from stores that sell them. But at this time of the year, it is almost impossible to go to a major grocery store who isn't selling them.
People are so stupid in California. We have fires all the time yet they will light those fireworks up when it is dry as sagebrush. Plus since we have such easy access, fireworks are brought in illegally from Mexico.
I have a suggestion, something I do every year. I ride the neighborhood and look for "off the ground" fireworks. These are the illegal ones. My town has a special number set up during fireworks season and you can call in quickly. So I look for the off the ground displays and call them in.
Also this time of the year, I stay busy going to the City Council meetings begging to make fireworks, even the safe and sane ones, illegal. It's hard because so many groups say they make all their money from fireworks. I say get off your lazy ass and find something else to support your charity. Stop putting me in danger for the sake of your charity.
And then the ritual of the other cultures here of shooting firearms in the air during the 4th. People have been killed sitting in their living rooms watching TV by these stray bullets.
Being in California can change one's mind about holidays, among other things.
