MORE NEWS ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELL TRANSPORTS

They keep piling up, the horror stories of these transports. Here's two stories from the same transporter which shows that these so called rescues aren't checking anything out. They send animals off with just anyone and God only knows what happens to the poor pets on the other end.

MORE NATHAN WINOGRAD LEGACY: HOARDING UNDER THE GUISE OF "NO KILL"

Once again, another "No Kill" rescue bites the dust. When you go to this article, look at this woman. Does she look like a sane person to you? Not to me, she looks like what I picture people to look like who are part of Winograd's cult.

"No Kill" attracts the worse of the worse. It doesn't attract rational, clear thinking people. It attracts those who can't accept the guilt of the public in all of this. To do so to them implicates themselves in the euthanasia in the shelters.

Hoarding is on the rise and has been dramatically since Winograd appeared on the scene. It's no coincidence, they go hand and hand.

http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/region_northern_az/other/more-than-100-animals-found-with-no-food-or-water-in-unpermitted-golden-valley-sanctuary-
Jeanine Ann Cook, 60, of Golden Valley, operated an unpermitted no-kill sanctuary called “Pleasant Farms,” Trish Carter with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said.

Carter said animals were observed dead on the scene and a horse and goat had to be euthanized after a local veterinarian’s inspection.

A baby goat also passed away at the temporary holding facility where the animals were kept before being transported to state facilities, Carter said.

Winograd should be arrested, this is his product, a defective one.

"NO KILL IN 2012" IS A NO GO IN SAN ANTONIO

Duh, talk about slow learners. Poor San Antonio has been on the "No Kill" bandwagon for about a decade now and finally they are coming to their senses. It is reported on blogs about how strays are wondering the streets in numbers unseen prior to the declaration of "No Kill".

The damage is done, San Antonio, you have already opened the gate. Your streets are full, your shelter is full, and "No Kill" is full of it. You should have announced this before Austin fell under that cultist spell.

SAN ANTONIO -- City leaders now admit the effort to stop animal euthanasia in San Antonio will not happen by 2012 as they hoped.

Hope for no-kill shelter in 2012 dies

S.A.'s animal control facility is projected to euthanize 21,051 cats and dogs this year. That's 400 each and every week, and the numbers have been climbing since 2009.

BRENDA BARNETTE: ISN'T MICROCHIPPING A JOKE WITH YOU? AM I SUPPOSED TO BE AMUSED HERE?

I ask because I laughed my head off when I saw it. Now let's set the stage for this latest release from Boffo Barnette.

I just blogged about a situation at the South LA Shelter involving an owned dog which was impounded and waiting for its owner and was released to a  "rescuer" BEFORE his "available" date--and before the owner had received the message that her dog was at the shelter-- by...guess who?  Brenda Barnette and Sleazy Salazar, carrying out her orders.  That dog had the microchip removed and was adopted from the SLA shelter six months before.  BB and her flunky Salazar gave it to a rescuer they didn't even know, not part of the City adoption partners (NEW HOPE), AND that rescue had the dog's microchip surgically removed.

Then BB writes to the dog owner that she doesn't know if removing a microchip is "best standards practice for veterinarians." The shelters can work with Avid about changing a microchip for those adopting a chipped pet from the shelter that the owner doesn't claim. Why not go that route unless you have something to hide?  http://workingtohelpanimalstodaytomorrow.blogspot.com/2011/06/i-throw-up-my-hands-brenda-barnette.html

And now Boffo Barnette sends this out?? Her department is being investigated for this removal of a microchip! How safe is a microchip if it can be removed even when those in charge knew there was an owner? Barnette, you make us all feel unsafe now about our microchipped pets. Is this your idea of a sick joke?

I THROW UP MY HANDS, BRENDA BARNETTE!!!!

I don't normally lose it, although many would disagree with that, but BB,  you are one of a kind (I'm being nice here in case City Hall is around)!!

Dig this recent "Public Information" release from Breeder Barnette (again, I'm being nice). UNBELIEVABLE!! This woman is making a shamble of the licensing program being referred to in this Daily News article http://www.dailynews.com/ci_18260481?IADID=Search-www.dailynews.com-www.dailynews.com

Then her department is being investigated for missing?stolen dogs

So what would top this off? Yes, I know, it might be difficult but here it is folks.  http://www.opposingviews.com/i/are-l-a-s-transported-dogs-stolen-or-rescued

AND THIS STUPID BROAD IS SENDING OUT PUBLIC INFORMATION REGARDING HOUSEBREAKING A  DOG???????
I just hang my head and shake it. What is wrong with the City Council and the Mayor's office? There needs to be some accountability about all of this and Barnette needs to be concentrating on the big picture. How utterly ridiculous that she would do something like this.

Housetraining   Your Dog
Dogs are instinctively clean animals.    They prefer not to soil their living quarters.  If   the human is consistent about the process, housetraining a dog usually isn’t   difficult.

Your new family member may find moving to a new house   confusing.  The layout of your house will be unfamiliar to   him.  He doesn’t know which doors lead to the   outside.  And he may or may not have been housetrained   before.  Assume that any new dog, whether adult or puppy,   needs housetraining.

Before entering your house, take your dog on a leash   to the yard where you want his “bathroom” to be.  You may   need to walk with him as he explores the area.  Once he   takes care of business, praise him so he knows he has done the right thing.

When you bring the new dog into the house, have his   den (crate) ready for him or a small “safe” space defined for him that can be   easily cleaned, such as a bathroom with a gated entrance or a fenced-off part   of the kitchen.  Put his special bed, toys, and food inside   his space.  Visit and play with him often and begin each   visit with a trip out to his “bathroom” and lavish him with praise after he   goes to the bathroom.

Take your dog out to her “bathroom” area on a regular   schedule.  Young puppies should be carried outside for their   break every hour, as soon as they wake up from a nap and immediately after a   meal.  If it is hard to keep track of the time, set an alarm   clock or kitchen timer to remind you of when the next potty break should   be.  Depending on the age and size of your puppy, you may   determine that he needs to go out more often at first.    That’s okay. The time between bathroom breaks will expand as he gets   older.  Stick to the schedule, even on weekends, and be sure   to feed your dog on a regular schedule, too.

Watch for your dog’s signal to you.    Circling and sniffing are often indications your dog needs to go   out.  Some people like to teach the dog to ring a bell as a   potty break signal. Hang a bell on the door and make a game of ringing it each   time you take the dog out until he gets the idea to ring the bell   himself.

Until you are sure your dog is housetrained, he needs   to be supervised 100% of the time when he is indoors and out of his   “den.”  He can be on a leash attached to you or a family   member.  Wait until you are sure he is reliably housetrained   before you let him have the run of the house.

Scolding for mistakes can do more harm than   good.  If you see a mistake happening, rush the dog outside   and then praise him once he finishes his business outside. Be sure to clean   accidents thoroughly to keep the area from smelling to your dog like it is the   right place to soil.

Dogs, like people, learn at different   rates.  There are days when your dog seems to understand   where to go and other days when he can’t remember a thing.    This is a normal part of the learning process.    Invest the time and patience to properly housetrain your dog and your   reward will be a lifetime of unconditional love from your furry family   member.

The mission of the Los Angeles   Department of Animal Services is to   promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of animals and   people.  Call us at 1-888-452LA-PET1/1-888-452-7381 (TTY Hearing impaired: 877-875-8205) or visit the   website at www.LAAnimalServices.com to learn   more.

AND ONCE AGAIN, NOT ONE WORD ABOUT SPAY/NEUTER!! I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THE ADL-LA HAS TO SAY WITH BB'S WASTE OF POSSIBLE FREE INK. I DOUBT THEY CARE, THEY'VE BEEN MIGHTY QUIET LATELY, NOT MUCH TO SAY ABOUT YOUR GAL, HUH, PAMMIE?

SPEAK THE TRUTH, EVEN IF YOUR VOICE SHAKES

I encourage everyone to read the story of Colleen Lynn of www.DogsBite.ORG. This is the fourth year following her attack. Read about how a woman took up a cause because of the attack of "Bull", a pit bull. A cause that is spreading and giving other victims a voice.

http://blog.dogsbite.org/2011/06/founder-of-dogsbiteorg-reflects-upon.html

I predict that Colleen Lynn will go down in history. Maybe even a movie. Not only does Colleen have to suffer from the attack, she suffers everyday from the constant barrage of attacks from pit owners/nutters who have no shame about attacking a victim. They do it to all victims.

Stand tall Colleen, you are the one in the right. You will prevail.

BRENDA BARNETTE: STILL CAN'T GET IT RIGHT ABOUT HOW TO TREAT EMPLOYEES!!

This woman's stupidity never ends. This week I received one of her "News Release" alerts about a couple of ACO's rescuing a dog in a drainage ditch. STOP THE PRESSES! Obviously Breeder Barnette doesn't realize that this is what ACO's do, day in and day out. It is wonderful she is commending this Reserve Officer but so how about a little appreciation for ALL of them and a News Release about some of the really heroic things they do for animals and people? Is the only reason this young man got credit because you want to claim the RACO program as "yours" and show off how wonderful "you" are? Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with him at all? Could that be the case, BB?

And, I'm sure this will be the next alert that will be put out by the new ADL-LA Commissioner liaison!! So bring it on. We're ready!!! We already know the drill.

Just last week, Breeder Barnette was condemning employees, insinuating that they were the culprits stealing puppies from the shelters. I can see it now, an ACO trying to make a windfall by selling shelter dogs, c'mon, get real. Big mistake, Barnette. You should have been defending the employees, even if there were a problem. What you don't seem to understand is that YOU are the one who takes responsibility. It reflects more on you than the employee. That's why you get the big bucks. You don't just run around crying because Sleazy Salazar doesn't know how to do an investigation on a problem. That's probably because he IS the problem!!! Maybe you haven't noticed. Your can expect to be on the hot seat as long as he's making your decision. You used the employees as a scapegoat rather than draw attention to one of your biggest policy blunders, giving the volunteers keys and easy access to the kennels.

BTW, while we're talking about blaming employees, don't think people don't know about what you did to a long-time employee who is now leaving for greener pastures. Great talent and you again needed a scapegoat. From what I understand, the world will soon know about that one because there are certain "confidential" e-mails that an activist already talked about publicly and there's a lot more to come.

Make up your mind, BB, which is it? Are LAAS employees bunch of thieves and dumbies and only your groupies get praised? You can't have it both ways. As an employer, it is your duty to defend your employees and you have failed in that duty. Hats off to those ACO's who crawled on their bellies in nasty stuff to get this little dog and a big pile of shit to Barnette for dumping on her employees.

On June 2, 2011, the East Valley Animal Services Shelter received a call from a concerned citizen about a dog she saw in the Los Angeles River drainage, at Coldwater Canyon. Reserve Animal Control Officer Paul Maradiaga responded and found a poodle down in the cement drainage channel. Officer Maradiaga contacted Animal Control Officer Stacey Dancy for assistance. Once on scene, Officers Dancy and Maradiaga entered the flood control channel gate and sloshed through the muck to retrieve the scared and trembling little dog. Once back at their Animal Rescue Vehicle, Officer Maradiaga scanned the dog for a microchip, and got a hit. Following up on the information, Officer Maradiaga contacted the owner, and notified her that her dog "Toby" was safe in the custody of Los Angeles Animal Services, after having been rescued by Animal Control Officers in the Los Angeles River. Ms. Ruiz came into the East Valley Shelter and was happily reunited with Toby.
The mission of the Los Angeles Department of Animal Services is to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of animals and people. Call us at 1-888-452LA-PET1/1-888-452-7381 (TTY Hearing impaired: 877-875-8205) or visit the website at www.LAAnimalServices.com to learn more

P.S-- Brenda, did you accidentally overlook the spay/neuter message again? Maybe it's dementia or the stress of the job. It must be hard work to consistently do such a bad job!

OMG!!! BRENDA BARNETTE, STOLEN DOGS? WHAT'S NEXT?

I'm not making this up, folks!!! The Saga of Brenda Barnette goes on and on. This one is pretty bad however. Now where do I start?

As reported in several media sources one of which Lu Parker works for, the Mayor of LA's pretty lady, who is a news reporter.  http://www.ktla.com/news/landing/ktla-missing-shelter-animals,0,5392823.story Ah, Lu, when will you wise up and chose your associations more carefully than Brenda Barnette and Best F(r)iends?

BACKGROUND: VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW
According to Brenda Barnette's own stats posted online, http://www.laanimalservices.com/PDF/reports/CatNDogIntakeNOutcomes.pdf, in the last five years, FIVE YEARS, THE TOTAL OF STOLEN CATS AND DOGS WERE ONLY 91, an average of 1-2 cats and dogs a month. From May 10 through April 11, the LAAS stats show a total of 21 stolen. Suddenly we are looking at a number of 64 stolen?

In the last five years, May 06 until April 11, there have been a total of 511 cats and dogs listed as escaped on the previous link for LAAS. That's an average of 8-9 cats and dogs a month. Combined five year averages of escaped and stolen from LAAS's very own stats shows far, far less than that one month of May. Is there an explanation, Barnette? You need to start asking questions, people!!!!

Now, Barnette's department is being investigated for 64 STOLEN ALL TOGETHER, WITH 39 BEING FROM ONE SHELTER! And guess who is over that shelter, none other than Sleazy Mark Salazar. The same Mark Salazar who went to the shelter on a day of closure and it is against policy to do that, and allowed his kid to put his hand in a kennel and get bitten. Sleazy Salazar is over the North Central Shelter with the 39 stolen.

Keep this background information  in mind while you read this link http://www.opposingviews.com/i/l-a-s-disappearing-shelter-dogs-get-attention-of-mayor-lapd

The worrisome thing of this is how Barnette seems to be throwing her employees under the bus according to this one article. Blaming employees is nothing new.  http://blogs.laweekly.com/informer/2011/06/40_pets_have_vanished_from_los_angeles_north_central_animal_shelter.php "They were the young ones, the cute ones," Barnette said. "They were ones that would have been likely to have been sold or be a nice gift for someone." The majority of the unaccounted-for animals were dogs, Barnette said."" (However, a reliable source that wants to stay anonymous tells me rescuers remember these dogs as pit bulls, not cute little fuzzy pups.)

The writer goes on to say and I quote: What's being implied here, obviously, is that shelter workers might be selling the cutest of the caged beasts on the cute-beast black market for cash.

So she's gonna make the employees the scapegoat for what is probably the biggest mistake of her infamous "career". Of course, that's standard for Barnette. While in Seattle, she had a 75% turnover according to employees she hired, not fired. They told the truth about Barnette once they voted the union in so they had some security then the truth came out poor or lack of management skills. http://workingtohelpanimalstodaytomorrow.blogspot.com/2009/10/seattle-humane-employees-painting-true.html I ask what makes more sense. That in five years, suddenly, an employee has figured out how to make a quick buck OR the fact that Barnette issued keys to the "volunteers" just recently. Coincidence? You can decide, I have. Whether a "clerical error", stolen, whatever, there is smoke here. Barnette has no prior sheltering experience in an open door shelter, despite her protests that SHS was open door. And according to those employees, she has little to no managerial ability either.

Barnette has also been quoted as referring to a "possible clerical error", or simply put, a failure of any standard operating procedures and handing over keys to volunteers which has resulted in a "possible clerical error". It's her inability to manage the damage she is doing if there is a "clerical error". She now is saying that these cuties are missing, not stolen, after she had thrown the employees under the bus.
Just look at this email being circulated in May about 400 animals to be euthanized. Did someone say "Desperate times call for desperate measures"? Any chance the ADL-LA has been sniffing around, after all they claim to have all these insiders? You know that the humane community has more than it's share of fanatics, and fanatics steal pets because they can "save them all".

SOS! LAST CALL! PLEASE HELP THIS CAUSE
North Central shelter is completely full. They have around 400 animals and this Sunday (5/22) at 5PM they will be putting many to sleep for time and space. There are mommies with puppies on this list, there are small dogs, big dogs, even an old dog or two. THIS LOOKS VERY GRIM but if we all band together, network, put on facebook, craigslist, on email, and everywhere Else, we may be able to save some lives. I can obviously NOT do this alone. Please help!! So far there is THERE MAY BE MORE ANIMALS TO BE EUTHED on 5/22 ( dogs, cats, etc) BUT THESE ARE JUST THE ONES I KNOW OF....

And what about the transports? They aren't being strictly regulated. On those days, anyone can take pretty much what they want. Is this where the "clerical error" might be found? After all if Barnette is willing to give away a shelter to her buds, Best F(r)iends, why not let them cherry pick the cuties and puppies for their "transportation program"? One can only wonder.....

I'd also lay money down on the possibility of either a breeder posing as a "volunteer" or a conspiracy of some kind in that direction. After all, purebreds look alike, easy for breeders to substitute one for a dead breeding bitch or stud. If the breeder isn't showing, it's easy to pass it off, make more, and sell more with no investment or little investment.

Agatha Christie would jump all over this over with the twists and turns. LET'S HOPE THE L.A.P.D. DOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
