ALASKA CRUISE TURNS INTO HORROR FOR ONE DOG

UPDATE:  This transporter was served with a lawsuit on Saturday, May 28th. Those who harassed the victim's business might need to keep an eye out, they are also liable. Remember Niagara? Those who engaged in threatening, etc.? They were sued. All I can say, is choose your friends wisely. Choosing to follow this transporter will get you in trouble and harms animals, because she harms them. Guilty by association.

As you well know, these transports of dogs to who knows where are more than a pet peeve with me. One transporter, in particular, grates me the wrong way. 

First there was Rocco. This poor pit ended up in Georgia in a suspected fighting ring, but a definite cruelty case. Because the Devore shelter, where Rocco was pulled from, was microchipping pets pulled by 'rescues' out of concern about these transports, Rocco's microchip was traced back to Devore. And it led back to this transporter. This blog post has a cut and paste of what transpired on facebook afterwards.

Then there is Rose Adams in Washington State. This transporter was named in the police records of this case.

I really don't think it would have taken much effort to determine that Rose Adams should not be getting dogs but then again, with the mentality of No Kill spurring on this transporter, outta sight, outta mind, is her cup of tea. 

While there had been previous complaints about alleged illegal activity at the Lake Ballinger-area residence shared by the couple, the evidence was insufficient for a search warrant. This changed on May 14 when the Edmonds Police Department was presented with graphic video evidence of animal abuse occurring at the couple’s home. In response, Judge Fair issued a warrant to search the residence, which was immediately served by officers from the Edmonds Police Department.

“We are well aware of that address and that Rose Adams and George Beutler have been hanging around there,” said Edmonds Police Sergeant Mark Marsh. “Our officers have been there on numerous occasions. Our parking enforcement officers are also aware of the motor home and have issued appropriate citations. We will continue to be vigilant in that area.”

So this brings us up to date, for the most part, at least for the ones that we know about. Of course, how many do we not know about that this transporter has delivered into hell. 

The most recent one went all the way to Alaska, yep you heard me. A good excuse to write off the expense of a cruise is to take a poor rescue dog personally to Alaska, a 3 day cruise. But was a home check done upon arrival? Were the members of household interviewed? We can only assume the dog was loaded off the boat, outta sight, outta mind, again.

The dog, Brady, was missing from his new Alaska home in only one day. A post was made that the dog had been shot and once the snow melted, hunters will find the body. Oh, now don't rush to get pissed off at the poster, wait for the story. It may be awhile before we know the true story. Then again, it may not.

The only thing we do know is that this transporter/rescuer is toxic to dogs. 

CONCERNING BRENDA BARNETTE

I've gotten some comments as to why I am not writing as much anymore. Others do a much better job and are writing about events. Of course, they don't put my slant on things.

To be honest, there is just too much work right now to keep this blog going. Although I want to everyday, it's hard to do when you are writing to legislators all day.

I will make an effort to do a little more with the blog. Much of it has been 'dedicated' to the breeder, Brenda Barnette. Obviously, no one in LA much read it when it first came out, but they are reading it now.

LA got what it wished for, No Kill. It wasn't what you thought, was it LA? Tried to tell you, didn't want to hear it. My problem now is if Barnette does leave, who will take her place. No one in their right mind who is capable of fixing LAAS would be willing to do it UNLESS No Kill is kicked to the curb and never brought up again. Otherwise, LA is doomed to repeat the mistakes made with Boks and Barnette. I fear an even worse person will be hired, Jon Cicirelli from San Jose. He wants the job.

I just hope that LA doesn't jump out of the pot into the fire. If they don't start learning their lessons from the past, they are doomed to repeat them in the future.

WHERE'S THE BEEF, COOPER?

Where's the book, DA? More excuses I see. You mentioned Ian Dunbar, how about some links to prove he helped you. If anything, he advised you to drop it.

And while we are on the subject of your failures to follow through, how about that lawsuit you talk about all the time for San Bernardino? What happened to that? It's been two years now since it was announced. Nothing has happened. In fact, the Grand Jury investigated all the accusations from the No Killers and found nothing. That report was just released. So where do you go from here? Will you just continue to mouth the same bullshit over and over?

Face it Dumb Ass, you are a wash out. You washed out along with your buddy, the Whino, a long time ago.

DOUGLAS ANTHONY COOPER, WHERE'S ANY CREDENTIALS?

So let's see what we have here. We have a man (I'm making an assumption) who is from Canada, now living in Mexico, has little lap dogs, and runs with a very young crowd. Did I mention that he is 57 years old? Yet the pictures he uses on all his 'writings' is not that of a 57 year old. Guess he figures can't catch those young groupies with a picture of an old man.

This man writes about pit bulls but where is his credentials for doing so? He doesn't own one and doesn't the pit community insist that you don't know a pit unless you own one? 

He claims he isn't a Berman puppet, but he spews every word that Berman spews. Berman now includes him on his sites and the man still wants to claim he isn't on a payroll? Cooper isn't making a living writing Travel and Leisure articles, money has to be coming from elsewhere. 

Take a gander of this old man with his 'friend' who is young enough to be his granddaughter. Take a gander at his dogs, narry a pit bull to be seen. Just like with Winograd, they want everyone else to jeopardize their families with a pit bull, but they don't put their money where their mouths are.

DOUGLAS ANTHONY COOPER, HAVE YOU TRIED TO COME BACK INTO THIS COUNTRY YET?

Hey, Dumb Ass, do you really know the company you keep? This is why your name is now on the list of domestic terrorists, guilt by association. 

The no kill movement has been around far longer than Nathan Winograd has been on the scene. He comes along and sees an opportunity to be seized, thus is born the "guru" of No Kill. When Winograd left Tompkins County, it was considered fairly sudden. The reason given was family illness. Really? His father in law was indicted for internet fraud at that time. Rumors have long been circulated that Nathan Winograd’s father-in-law Terry Holdt is the money behind Winograd’s various crusades, jihads and holy wars. A little bit of research shows that Holdt has paid the mortgage and property taxes on all of Winograd’s homes since his marriage.

And who is Terry Holdt? Turns out he’s a dot.com type of guy with a long and ugly track record of lawsuits and bankruptcies in his wake. During the 1990s and early 2000s, Mr. Holdt served in various leadership capacities at SONICblue, Inc., an electronics development and manufacturing company, and at S3, Inc., its progenitor. S3 and SONICblue sold consumer electronics that included digital audio players and ReplayTV television technology.

Here are some of his finest moments:

● Ousted CEO called for Holdt’s resignation over insider loans
In Aug. 2002, SONICblue CEO Kenneth Potashner was fired from the company after calling for the resignation of Terry Holdt and two other board members over insider loans. Loans of approximately $177,000 were made from SONICblue to Terry Holdt and the two other board members to purchase stock in RioPort, Inc., a partial subsidiary of SONICblue. Mr. Potashner claimed that the board changed the loans’ terms so that the three board members would be absolved of repaying the loans. Interim CEO L. Gregory Ballard maintained that the loans were all legal and properly disclosed in federal filings. ● SONICblue files for bankruptcy protection

Rumor had it that Winograd was promised LA City for his program by the ADL-LA. They were promising, according to rumor, that they would force the Mayor into hiring Winograd. Winograd swears he never wanted the job but he sure wanted that $140,000 consulting gig. This is a chronicle of how the ADL-LA terrorized LA City in the name of No Kill and earned No Kill a place on the domestic terrorist list.

But when it goes beyond that and city workers feel threatened or there is a danger to their families or neighbors, we have to protect our workers.''

The militant underground Animal Liberation Front (ALF) is claiming responsibility for an alleged military-style bombing that occurred at the Bunker Hill Towers Apartments on Figueroa Street, the residence of Los Angeles Animal Services General Manager Guerdon Stuckey.
In a statement on its website dated September 17, the shadowy ALF took credit for the act. The information then appeared in a September 20 e-mail from the unaffiliated, aboveground animal rights group Animal Defense League Los Angeles (ADLLA). The ALF often works by dropping communiqués with legitimate groups. The e-mail stated: "A communiqué received by the Press Office (for the ALF) reads in part: ‘The animal liberation front has taken advice from our Commander in Chief to "smoke terrorists out of their holes." The target was Los Angeles number One terrorist Gordon Stuckey. Military Strength Smoke grenades were detonated on the floor of this animal killers abode. Sleep light … alf."

LAAS’s high euthanasia rates has tapped the wrath of animal rights groups such as the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) and the Animal Defense League Los Angeles (ADL­LA). These groups have utilized militant protest tactics in recent years to draw attention to the large numbers of animals dying in the city’s shelters. Protestors have also 
picketed outside LAAS staff members’ homes. ADL­LA was blamed for September gas­ bombing the former GM Stuckey’s home in 2005. City Council found the situation serious enough to pass a motion allowing for increased security and surveillance in front of animal control workers’ homes. The protests have attracted the attention of the Los Angeles media. The Los Angeles Times, The Daily News, LA Weekly and various local newspapers and news channels devoted regular coverage to the conflict during the height of protesting in 2005.
In the summer of 2004, police had taken nine reports related to animal activists at the home of employees in five months, including five in July alone.xIn June of that year, a LA judge granted a temporary restraining order issued by the city to stop protesters from “assaulting, stalking or following” David Diliberto, a high ranking official of LAAS, during working hours. The judge also prohibited the ADL­LA from coming within 100 feet of Dilberto or posting his address or phone number on the internet. Dilberto, had endured a bomb threat by protestors affiliated to ADL­LA and ALF. In July, his family was awoken at 3 am by protestors dressed as mortuary workers trying to pick up a body from his home. According to the FBI, ALF and the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) alone are 

 responsible for more than 600 criminal acts in the United States since 1996, causing 

damages in excess of $43 milliondollars. While their actions have not yet taken 

human life, federal and state lawmakers are proposing legislation to give more muscle to 

law enforcement efforts against those committing violent acts in the name of animal 

rights or the environment. ALF is listed as one of the U.S. Department of Justice’s 

domestic terror organizations. 

While the ADL­LA claims not to know the identity of ALF members, both groups are part of the recently formed NortH American Animal Liberation Press Office. The office received communiqués from anonymous sources to publicize actions made by animal ­rights groups. It also opens up lines of communications between animal rights groups.

Winograd was questioned by Patricia Ruland of the Austin Chronicle about his association with these radical groups, why he doesn't dis-associate himself with them. This was his answer. http://www.austinchronicle.com/news/2008-10-31/696455/

After the forum, during a brief interview amplifying his prepared remarks, I also asked Winograd whether he welcomed the support of radical animal rights groups that have committed (or taken credit for) violent actions, in what they describe online as support for Winograd's No Kill programs (for example, www.animalliberationfront.com/News/2007_12/LindyLAMagInterview.htm). Winograd answered that question and others but later responded by enlisting a local attorney to denounce the question as inflammatory and to suggest that further questions would be subject to legal review. On his blog the day following his talk, Winograd blasted this yet-to-be writtenChronicle story: "Despite the support and enthusiasm of the crowd, and the promise that a focus on the No Kill Equation would mean for the homeless animals of Austin, there was one hostile attendee: a reporter who lashed out at me for questioning the city's effort and those of the shelter and posed questions of an inflammatory and defamatory nature. The audio recording of our brief conversation reflects nothing of the kind, only questions asked and answered. Winograd said that he was not affiliated with such violent groups and, as a former prosecutor, believes in pressing charges if such illegal acts had occurred. (WHY DOESN'T HE JUST COME RIGHT OUT AND SAY HE WANTS NO PART OF THEM? WHY DOESN'T HE CONDEMN THEM OPENLY?)

In Florida, certain radical entities have been solicited by No Kill Nation against certain people who are speaking against NKN. Note above about the role of ALF in Los Angeles. In the past few months, No Kill Nation filed a lawsuit against Randy DeCarlo. Randy had a rescue, the Miami/Dade Rescue Railroad, and had saved hundreds of pets. Randy also has his home as a sanctuary for older hounds, hounds that required 24-hour a day care. And Randy himself is a victim of Crohns Disease. That is a long and complicated story but it is ending up with a threat of jail for Randy. The stress has made his health worse.

No Kill Nation has gone so far as to establish a "legal" fund to fight people such as Randy. It is called an "Awareness" fund but the spirit of that fund is to intimidate, to hurt good people who have dedicated their lives to saving lives. Is this the action of a truly humane group, to hurt a disabled man who is providing sanctuary, and a darn good one to boot, to old hounds?

Screen shots have been made of threats to Randy and others by those involved with No Kill Nation, as well as the founder of No Kill Nation. Now there are police reports and an FBI case number. Is this stopping No Kill Nation? No, the anger is escalating. A press release last week by Nathan Winograd announced that No Kill is an animal rights movement, and that puts it in league with the likes of ALF/Shac.

Screen shots show No Kill Nation speaking with two known radical groups, one of which is the ALF. If you note above the role of ALF in Los Angeles, this throws a different light onto what is happening. Another group was contacted in regards to hacking internet accounts and several people did experience being hacked afterwards. Is No Kill Nation giving ALF the red light to come into Florida and do what was done in LA?

Ingrid NewKirk of PeTA pointed to an infamous cyberbully who follows No Kill Nation per many screen shots available. This particular cyberbully paints herself, or rather many of herselves, as the victim/victims when it is she who is victimizing people with the full knowledge and approval of No Kill Nation.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS GALUNKER?

Fanfare, trumpets, red carpet, Pulitzer prize were the dreams of the washed out author turned pit nutter, Douglas Anthony Cooper for his book, Galunker.

The only explanation offered is "We're sorry to say that it does look as if the book will be a bit late, ". A bit late? Looks like to me that he's taking his time up responding to all the criticism. "We received all sorts of responses from Team Galunker during and after the launch of the Kickstarter campaign, and we’ve been incorporating your ideas and addressing your criticism." We know pit nutters only have one idea so that can't be the reason, their idea is 'education'. Too bad nutters don't have one, especially when they continue to use 'bread' for 'breed'. Then again, Cooper doesn't want the educational level too high, he would have no readers.

This fool thinks he is writing a book to help children from being mauled to death by the world's number one canine killer, the pit bull. Has he lost his mind completely, or did he ever have one to being with? ""another major goal with this book is to provide parents with a guide to how to keep their children safe around dogs. (ANY dog – breed is irrelevant.)""

Strange that Cooper is such good buddies with Nathie Winograd, who owns his own publishing house, and the book hasn't been published yet. Nathie couldn't get a reputable publishing house to touch his biased bullshit either, so he had to do it himself. What's the matter, Nathie, don't want your buddy to compete with you? C'mon publish the book for Dumb Ass. 

And Shades of Karen Delise, the excuse is that war broke out in Israel and that makes the book late. Just when you thought you had heard them all.  

THE INTERVIEW WITH THE COWARD HIDING IN HONDURAS VIA DUMB ASS COOPER

That vile little man and his puppet are at it again. Sock puppet, Douglas Anthony Cooper, ended up with an 'interview' as if that makes his fiction writing credible.

Cooper, where did you go to the school of politics - Canada? You write a piece about legislation in Virginia with the headlines that this bill will "Stop It (PeTA) From Slaughtering More Pets". That made for a good laugh. Did you even read the bill before you wrote about, have you read it since you wrote about it?

These No Kill Fools are already posting this initiative as a victory, but the reality is that PeTA never claimed to be a shelter to begin with. That's the catch. This is in their favor. Since they will no longer be considered a shelter, then they won't have to report their numbers to the State. Is that the victory you wanted Whino? Of course you have to come riding in on your white horse after the fact trying to claim credit. Typical.

And bringing up the rear, appropriate observation I think, is that Dumb Ass Cooper, trying to scoop up the crumbs of Winograd's cookies. His 'interview' was really a hoot to read and I would like to point out the more laughable areas.

First of all, this woman is the lowest of the low because she waited 15 years to report this alleged cruelty she supposedly witnessed. I mean, c'mon, give me a break. Cooper calls her "an exceptionally brave woman" and I call her a coward. 

Winograd has always made claims of him seeing cruelty in shelters, he makes pictures (supposedly) of it. BUT he fails to report it at the time to make it stop. He walks away from that cruelty and takes about it later. He did nothing to stop it, no reporting of it, nothing. He blogs about it but when called on the carpet about why he failed to report it at the time, he has no answer. Coward. If you see cruelty and walk away like that, Winograd, it makes you more guilty of the cruelty than the perpetrator, just like this woman. 

Cooper notes the statute of limitations, very important here. Fifteen years, too late to call witnesses to dispute these accusations, too late to obtain proof, and Cooper knows that. I dare say there would be no interview if this happened last week when witnesses could be had and proof given to dispute what this coward has to say.

I will venture to say that this coward is eat up with guilt because she probably did the very things she is accusing others of doing. I would like to say that but personally, this is a set up. Winograd has pulled this tactic before, more than once. Suddenly these people just show up out of the blue at the last moment with exactly what Winograd needs to overcome objections. The fact that it was so long ago prevents rebuttal. 

Winograd is hoping to prove the accusations against PeTA and the Maya story with this coward's blog. I will guarantee you that when that story of Maya ends, Nathan Winograd and his crowd will be at the root, a set up. I firmly believe they had something to do with it.

This is what the Attorney General of Virginia had to say about the situation. It plainly shows how badly Cooper and the Whino distort the truth. 

"Commonwealths Attorneys cannot always make popular decisions, rather they are charged with making responsible decisions. Prosecutors must decide if evidence gathered provides proof beyond a reasonable doubt each element of the criminal offense. The criminal intent required to convict someone for theft or property (or dog) it must be shown that the defendant intended to steal the property (or dog) it must be shown that the taking was coupled with the intent of depriving the rightful owner of their property. 

The facts appear be that PETA was asked to help when an adjacent landowner reported that they should see how his cow with her udders ripped up from abandoned and stray dogs in the trailer park area amounted to a menace not to be tolerated. He complained to PETA that the abandoned and stray dogs attacked his livestock, injured his milking cow, killed his goat and terrorized his rabbits.

 Abandoned and/or stray dogs and cats have appeared to have been considerable in what is known as Dreamland 2. PETA responded and the trailer park management encouraged their efforts in an attempt to gather stray/abandoned cats and dogs. Additionally the leases provided that no dogs were allowed to run free in the trailer park.

Approximately three weeks before Mr. Cerates dog was taken by the women associated with PETA, Mr. Cerate asked if they would put traps under his trailer to catch some of the wild cats that were in the trailer park, and traps were provided to him as requested. Additionally, parties associated with PETA provided Mr. Cerate with a dog house for two other dogs that were tethered outside of Mr. Cerates home.

On or about October 18 a van that was operated by the ladies associated with PETA arrived the at the trailer park. The van was clearly marked PETA and in broad daylight arrived gathering up what abandoned stray dogs and cats could be gathered. Among the animals gathered was the Chihuahua of Mr. Cerate. Unfortunately the Chihuahua wore no collar, no license, no rabies tag, nothing whatsoever to indicate the dog was other than a stray or abandoned dog. It was not tethered nor was it contained. 

Other animals were also gathered. Individuals living in the trailer park were present and the entire episode was without confrontation. Mr. Cerate was not at home and the dog was loose, sometimes entering the shed/porch or other times outside in the trailer park before he was put in the van and carried from the park. The dogs owned by Mr. Cerate that were tethered were not taken.

Whether one favors or disfavors PETA has little to do with the decision of criminality. The issue is whether there is evidence that the two people when taking the dog believed they were taking the dog of another or whether they were taking an abandoned and/or stray animal. There have been no complaints on the other animals taken on that same day, and, like the Chihuahua, had no collar or tag. From the request of the neighboring livestock owner and the endorsement by the trailer park owner/manager the decision as to the existence of criminal intent beyond a reasonable doubt must be made by the prosecutor. More clearly stated, with the evidence that is available to the Commonwealth, it is just as likely that the two women believed they were gathering abandoned and/or stray animals rather than stealing the property of another. Indeed, it is more probable under this evidence that the two women associated with PETA that day believed they were gathering animals that posed health and/or livestock threat in the trailer park and adjacent community. Without evidence supporting the requisite criminal intent, no criminal prosecution can occur. 

The animals were not euthanized in Accomack County, so this jurisdiction makes no determination on those issues.

Now one has to ask several questions here. Why did the owner restrain his other dogs, bigger dogs, yet let this poor little one run around loose?  No collar, no tags, nothing. Then the ultimate reason for all of this - Sam Simon's money. It was announced that Sam Simon, creator of the Simpsons, was dying and leaving his wealth to PeTA. He has been a Board member for years, that makes sense he would do that. And basically saying to this man that he was an idiot for following PeTA.

HOW IRRESPONSIBLE IS THE HUFFINGTON POST?? GALILEO DOG ANSWERS.

This month is a recognition month for the misunderstood pit bull breed. Last year the Huffington Post was honoring the Pit Bull Awareness Day with an article showing the wonders of the "nanny" dog and their tiny playmates, kids. 

Included in that stream of photo ops was one picture of a small boy hugging his pit bull, photo #61 of 73 photos, the same pit bull that killed him a month or so later. The Huffington Post ran this picture along with the others until it was brought to their attention. They just took it off, no apologies, nothing to the family, no explanation.

Recently the Huffington Post has given voice to the pit community via Douglas Anthony Cooper.

   

Cooper, a small time novelist from Canada, has condemned one of the two only sources that track disfiguring and fatal dog attacks, Merritt Clifton.

He also attacked another Canadian, Barbara Kay, who speaks so eloquently and knowledgeable about the issue of dangerous dogs. 

It is irresponsible journalism to continue on the path that the Huffington Post is on, which is pimping, yes pimping, pits. Attacks are daily, as of this writing, pit types have killed 25 people in 2014 and countless other animals.

Last Sunday, families were blocked from attending a memorial to the ones killed by dangerous dogs, not just pit bulls, three breeds were represented. Pit bull owners and their pit bulls blocked families from this tribute. 

Is the Huffington Post contributing to this intimidation by having a dedicated "Pit Bull" Huffington Post now?

Recently they presented pits in tutus, a series. When pits are mauling and killing like no other breed in history, is it responsible journalism to support the killers?

A tribute art memorial entitled “Pay it Forward,” honoring 30 recent victims of fatal dog attacks, was unveiled on September 24, 2014 in Grand Rapids, Michigan by Wyoming,  Michigan resident Joan Kowal as an entry in ArtPrize, an annual outdoor art contest attracting upward of 1,500 entrants and more than 400,000 votes from viewers who select the award-winning entries.

Each victim was portrayed on a cross, along with information about how the person was killed. The killer dogs were identified. About two-thirds were pit bulls, as were 140 of the 216 dogs to have killed Americans since the beginning of 2010.

Displaying thoughtless solidarity, poor social judgment, and some cruelest behavior by fellow humans I have seen short of actual physical violence, pit bull advocates flocked to this sacred memorial, bringing their dogs, to protest that the pit bulls were identified as pit bulls.

Many of the victims were killed by pit bulls from their own households. The information about those pit bulls, including photos of some of them, came from the victims’ grieving families. The pit bull advocates’ protest was simultaneously an exercise in trying to suppress the truth and in disrespecting and bullying the families of the dog attack victims for having shared their painful stories.  The phalanx of demonstrators and pit bulls barely controlled on chains blocked vistors’ view of the information on the crosses for hours.Apart from the sheer nastiness of the demonstrators, their actions illustrate why pit bulls are the dogs most often abused, neglected, and otherwise exploited, to fight and intimidate. This was an act of provocation comparable in rudeness to the Ku Klux Klan repeatedly rallying in the largely Jewish city of Skokie, Illinois, with the difference that Ku Klux Klan members are not notoriously inclined to attack each other and fight to the death without offering even a warning gesture first. These pit bull advocates put their own dogs at risk by bringing them into lunging distance of each other, as well as putting themselves and the public at risk, to try to score propaganda points at a memorial for the recent dead.

This is who is supposedly defending and protecting pit bulls. So long as this sort of behavior characterizes pit bull keepers, pit bulls will continue to be overbred, continue to suffer at the hands of people who claim to love them, and continue to die prematurely after failing repeatedly in homes––and humans, pets, livestock, and wildlife will continue to be victimized by dogs bred for no purpose other than to kill.

Survivors

As a close friend to many survivors of pit bull attacks and surviving family members of some of the dead whom Julie Kowal memorialized, I have witnessed endless egregious acts of cruelty thrown at them by pit bull owners and advocates.  As if it were not horrible enough to experience and deal with all that comes with these attacks, fatal and non-fatal,  emotionally, financially, physically and spiritually, there are some very disturbed pit bull owners who have made an around-the-clock mission of maligning and hurting my friends who have lost children, husbands, wives, sisters, and brothers to pit bulls.Pit bull advocates even distribute false information about victims and survivors to their employers, seeking to get them get them fired from their jobs.

I am not speaking of just a few pathological individuals, but of scores of sociopaths who claim to be defenders of the pit bull, who engage in systematic, organized cyber-stalking and telephone harassment. Many aggressively blame victims and survivors for attacks which typically came either from pit bulls who previously were trusted family members, or pit bulls who rushed out of open doors, leaped out of windows, or jumped fences to attack people who had no idea before that their assailants even existed. Each time the ‘pit bullies’ mystifyingly determine that it is not the dog’s fault that the dog tore off a limb, tongue, or ear of the victim, and allege against the weight of the evidence amassed from more than 5,000 fatal and disfiguring attacks that all dogs do this type of damage.

The self-help networks formed by dog attack survivors and friends have become a very strong united front. Support offered by victims to fellow victims has so far prevented tragic outcomes such as suicide, which often occur in other post-traumatic stress situations where the victims feel alone. But many of the pit bull advocates behind the ceaseless barrage of bullying and personal attacks make clear that they hope for the deaths of victims who speak out, and for the deaths of anyone who amplifies their voices. ANIMALS 24-7, for instance, received this message just last night: “I hope you and your while family contract the Ebola virus!”

As the list of pit bull attack victims grows exponentially, so does the support network.  Survivors around the world are helped to channel their grief, frustration and anger in positive ways to strengthen public awareness.

Meanwhile, as bullying by pit bull advocates escalates, few if any appear to be offering more than platitudes in response to the overbreeding, lack of owner accountability, and increasing frequency of pit bull maulings, which have increased tenfold since the Michael Vick dogfighting case in 2007, more than doubled in 2013 alone, and are close to setting a new record in 2014.

Sociopathic behavior

Just a couple of years ago I too was deeply involved in pit bull rescue and advocacy, as described in “Why pit bulls will break your heart,”  http://www.animals24-7.org/2014/09/10/why-pit-bulls-will-break-your-heart/.  But even in my own fiercest days of pit bull advocacy, when I was transporting, fostering, and speaking on behalf of pit bulls, I would never have dreamed of hurting another human being to defend my dog or any other pit bull.  I also campaigned under my own name.The pit bull fanatics we are dealing with today often conduct their activities anonymously or under false names, like many of the dogfighters and nightriders who produced and perpetuated the breed for decades before most people knew that pit bulls existed.  These people know that attaching their own names to the poison they spew would bring rejection from most of civilized society.

That such individuals form a large part the crowd promoting, defending and protecting pit bulls explains in large part why so little is being accomplished to end the suffering of not only humans, pets, livestock and wildlife victimized by pit bulls, but also of pit bulls themselves.

More surprising, though, than that hostile people who keep hostile dogs behave in a hostile manner is that these are the people with whom much of the humane community elects to make common cause.

THE CRUELTY OF LOW LIFE PIT BULL BULLIES

I would say that at least half of these lower life forms have a criminal record behind them. Someone needs to call the police and let them show check a few. What kind of people want to dishonor innocent children who were ripped apart by pit bulls? Not people, scum, dirtbags, pit bull owners. This is being sent to several legislators this morning. This will be used against these low life beings. Pit nutters are the worst enemies of the pit bulls, they will be the reason that BSL passes if not bans. They show the world the low life types who want this breed. I just wish I could spit on each one of these low lifers.

OLD NEWS BUT STILL NEWS - FIRST NO KILL STATE FAILS

Delaware, a lesson for us all. Somehow Nathan Winograd managed to get his CAPA (Companion Animal Protection Act) passed in Delaware on the state level. I certainly don't want to piss off any citizens of Delaware, BUT what were you thinking?

A nationally heralded attempt to make Delaware a no-kill state ended ignominiously on November 14, 2013 with the closure of the Safe Haven no-kill shelter in Georgetown, the euthanasia of 19 pit bulls who flunked behavioral screening, and the evacuation of 22 more dogs, mostly pit bulls and pit mixes, by the ASPCA.

The Safe Haven shelter just 17 months earlier had taken over the biggest animal control control in Delaware, accounting for more than half of the total impoundments  and killing in the state. 

The Delaware Companion Animal Protection Act was hailed by Nathan Winograd, found of the No Kill Advocacy Center in Oakland, California, as "The most sweeping, progressive companion animal protection legislation in the United States. The law was modeled on the No Kill Advocacy Center's CAPA," Winograd blogged. 

"The no-kill movement has denied the existence of overpopulation and downplayed the importance of prevention of unwanted litters, focusing all their attention on adoptions," Mechler told Animal People. "Anyone who wants to get to true no-kill, or as close as is feasible, should watch what is happening in Delaware."

This picture was posted on facebook. The backdrop is an art exhibit dedicated to the victims of dogs.

Over thirty individually decorated crosses are displayed with blue and white flowers in the nation's first physical memorial for victims of canine-related fatalities. The title reflects the fact that canine- related fatalities happen "Out of the Blue", in many instances. The crosses will be covered in multiple shades of luminous blue colors. This is an opportunity to Pay it Forward, and show the good side of humanity. Visitors are encouraged to express their sympathy, respect, and support for the victims and their families by leaving teddy bears, flowers, or memorial decorations in the designated heart-shaped memorial space. There will also be information on prevention of bites, and responsible dog ownership.  

Now would you want to live besides women who can look at the faces of innocent children, read the stories and then put the beast on the memorial and smile about it? These are people who don't give a rat's ass about you, your family, your pets. We talk of BSL for pit bulls when we need to talk of encampments to isolate this segment of society from the rest of us. They call us 'haters', but that is much better than what I call them.

THE TRIAL THAT ROCKED THE WORLD OF NO KILL

Boggs Mountain Humane Society was the first No Kill shelter in Georgia, and now is a name that will live in infamy in the humane community and especially in the world of No Kill. A shelter that offered sanctuary, a No Kill shelter. LoWanda "Peanut" Kirby has been sentenced to 25 years in prison and has to serve 15 years. 

Nathan Winograd of the No Kill Equation encourages sanctuaries for aggressive dogs. Even aggressive dogs, he says, could lead happy lives in sanctuaries where they cannot harm the public. He encourages sanctuaries where dogs can be rehabilitated rather than the alternative of euthanasia. Sanctuaries such as Best Friends, Olympic Animal Sanctuary, or Spindletop, where these aggressive dogs can be rehabbed and be adopted out. 

This stance has had drastic effects in the form of the number of deaths from 're-homed' dogs. The only dogs re-homed from US shelters to killing anyone before 2000 were two wold hybrids in 1988 and 1989.  No kill started on the scene in the 80's with limited admission shelters that were able to pick and chose in order to not have to euthanize. From 2000-2009, three shelter dogs skilled after adoption, a pit bull, a bull mastiff, and a Presa Canario.Since 2009, with pressure from the No Kill movement to save them all, 33 re-homed dogs went on to kill, 25 pit bulls 8 bull mastiffs, 2 Rottweilers, and 1 Husky.This speaks for itself in that too many dangerous dogs are being adopted out via the philosophy of No Kill. Do we need to be establishing 'sanctuaries' for these dogs while so many are still having to be euthanized in our shelters for space? 

Winograd's movement states there is no pet overpopulation, therefore we need to save them all in some shape, form or fashion. Sanctuaries being but one. A number of these sanctuaries, some endorsed by Winograd, have been exposed as houses of horror. Boggs Mountain is the latest one. Not only is the No Kill movement putting public safety in jeopardy, but it opens a world of scams and schemes that only has resulted in more pets being at risk of unnecessary suffering as well as horrible deaths.

Last week, a jury found the director of the Boggs Mountain Humane Society, guilty of 60 counts of fraud. This fraud resulted in beloved pets dying while their owners were led to believe that their pet had found a good home. Boggs Mountain Humane Society bragged they were No Kill and your pet would be safe. The "Lucky Dog/Lucky Cat" program was thus established, but many weren't so lucky. Prosecutors have shown via testimony that people who signed up for the Lucky Dog/Lucky Cat program understood that their donations, $100 or in some cases more, meant that animals they took to Boggs Mountain or otherwise sponsored would not be euthanized. Boggs Mountain was No Kill wasn't it? Records showed, however, that the pets had been euthanized.

"During a contentious cross examination, Healy tried to established that Penny Burkitt, for presient of the Boggs board, set up the protocol for the Lucky animal program. Cousins held firm, however, and explained that Kilby told her how animals were transferred to Rabun County Animal Control so that Boggs Mountain could remain a no-kill shelter. 

The movement of No Kill via Nathan Winograd has allowed for such a scam, playing upon people's emotions, offering the comforting assurance that the words "no kill" should mean to most people. What does it mean in reality? It has allowed for the development of schemes and scams like no other movement before. Money is collected now on animals still sitting in shelters, animals that no one comes for even with the donations, animals that die in the shelter waiting for those with the donations to come to take them out.

No Kill has allowed dangerous dogs to be placed back into society. Save them all is the latest campaign slogan from Best Friends. Should we be saving them all? What is that cost of saving them all? Prior to 2000, only 2 re-homed canines had gone on to kill after adoption, and that was two wolf hybrids. It is no coincidence that the time line of the rise of No Kill and the rise of deaths from re-homed dog attacks. Between 2000-2009, there were three deaths from re-homed dogs. In the competition for the donor dollars, the Humane Society of the United States, along with the ASPCA developed their own versions of No Kill. From 2009, there have been 33 deaths from re-homed dogs. Pit bulls account for 25 of those deaths, 8 by bull mastiffs (including Presa Canario, 2 by Rottweilers, and one by a Husky. In their fervor to "save them all", the safety of people has been forgotten.

The deception of No Kill goes even further with exaggerations of the number of shelters that have adopted No Kill. Nathan Winograd makes claims that he can't back up. PeTA has exposed No Kill shelters as limited admission shelters. But it is the term alone that is doing the damage, misleading people into thinking that all can be saved. Saving them doesn't mean warehousing them, creating hoarding, scams for money making, or just sending them off to the unknown via transports. This is what the humane world has become, ignoring public health, pet health, and safety for both. Playing on the emotions of the public for donations, donations that often don't reach the very cause of the problem. 

Boggs Mountain is but one of many No Kill shelters that have been plagued by the easy money that can be generated by pushing the No Kill slogan. How many haven't been caught yet? How many are being covered up to protect an elected official's reputation? There are many questions you need to ask when it comes to No Kill. Ask those tough questions. 

NO KILL IS TRYING TO KILL US?

Save them all, the cry from the No Kill camps, save them all. The question is should all be saved? What are the consequences of this? The consequences are people and beloved pets loving their lives in a most horrible way.

See how the timeline fits the crime. No Kill has been around for about 10 years, with no kill being around for awhile longer. According to Merritt Clifton, a brilliant researcher who has logged fatal and disfiguring attacks since 1982, there were two deaths from shelter dogs between 1982 and 2002, two disfiguring attacks for a total of four attacks in 20 years. Another 4 attacks in 2003 resulting in two deaths. BUT the number of fatal or disfiguring attacks from shelter dogs rose to 10 in 2009, 18 in 2010, 11 in 2011, 13 in 2012. A dramatic increase for 2013 of 27 attacks but 2014 is outdoing that. The first 6 months of 2014 saw 34 attacks from shelter dogs. 

The first shelter director to be charged with reckless endangerment is Laurie Hollywood of the Stamford Animal Shelter. She adopted out three dogs with bite histories and failed to disclose this to the new owners. She had been warned about doing the same thing in 2008 and 2011. 

Best Fiends also pimps dangerous dogs. A disclaimer on their advertisements for adopting some dogs. Best Friends has a new promotion that includes free transportation (translation: Let's get this damn dog out of town before it does something to bring attention to us.) to your home town, even if that means a ride on an airplane (talk about desperate to hide dangerous dogs). Now, with all that wonderful information, did you notice in small print at the bottom of the flyer: THESE PETS NEED TO BE THE ONLY DOG OR CAT IN HOME. That sounds a little ominous, doesn't it? It's only a matter of time before something happens that will be traced back to Best Fiends. Their money won't buy everyone off.

With all the dogs and cats in our shelters without baggage, why such an emphasis on those dogs and cats who will probably fail the real world test. Why does No Kill want to set up families and animals for failure by denying that some are just not right for adoption. 

No Kill and DBRFs go hand and hand with each other.

So D(umb) A(ss) Cooper is at it again in that Huff Puff rag. Following his Master's order to get the bad man. Cooper hasn't the sense to come in from a shower of rain, hasn't he even seen the light yet? His Messiah was proven to be a false prophet, an out and out liar. Cooper isn't as stupid as we think, he knows his Messiah has fallen and he is right there trying to pick up the distressed groupies.

What does DA know about pit bulls anyway? What are his credentials when it comes to pits? What are his contributions, other than lip service, to the issue of pits? I doubt seriously he even wrote that piece, I lay my bets that Whiney Boy himself wrote it. Cooper isn't that bright a bulb.

Cooper, who isn't in his homeland fighting cruelty there, isn't in the States either so he contributes nothing here. Nope, he is in Mexico claiming to be saving a rare breed aka breeding for big bucks is how it translates. Living the good life with a little girlie girl who loves to kiss on chihuahuas. I would say this is a better reason for his living in Mexico than trying to save a breed. Some things just aren't allowed in this country. What's the matter, Douglas Anthony Cooper, isn't Lucy enough woman for you?
